Restaurant Manager

Restaurant Manager (approx. annual package amounting to £26,000-£28,000)

A share of The Acres Tronc scheme is included in this role at an average of £5,000 - £7,000 per annum.

Full-time, Permanent (50 hours approx)

  • To coach & support all restaurant staff in all areas, to ensure maximum departmental performance. Identifying training needs and action.
  • Management of labour resource.
  • To ensure all guest expectations are exceeded, with consistent high standards in service of food and beverages, with exceptional presentation of Restaurant at all times.
  • Sound understanding of the systems used within the hotel industry, including: EPOS IT programmes (Microsoft Office) and till operation
  • To liaise closely with the entire restaurant staff to ensure efficient service and maintain high levels of communication with colleagues and other staff.
  • To review client feedback and resolve any issues to a satisfactory conclusion in conjunction with the General Manager.
  • Responsibility for Monies and Keys throughout the shift.
  • Maximise revenue opportunities and recommendations for growth.

We are searching for an outstanding restaurant manager, with great front of house skills and experience in a similar role, who is capable of delivering high quality customer service.

Own transport is required for this role.

Chefs De Partie

3 CDP’s (approx. annual package amounting to £31,000 - £34,000):

£23,000-£26,000 p/a basic salary (based on experience) with an additional sum of £6,500-£7,500 p/a tronc tips;

  • £1,000 signing on bonus (payable in your first month's salary)
  • Chef referral scheme where you can earn up to £600 for every chef referred 
  • This equates to an effective annual package of approx. : £31,000 - £34,000
  • Our 2023 mission includes a 4 day working week for all of our chefs (as soon as we are able to employ sufficient numbers to do so);
  • All employees are automatically signed up to ‘Perkbox’, offering hundreds of discounts on health and lifestyle (e.g. gyms, classes etc), fashion, travel, supermarkets, utilities, tech and electronics (e.g. Apple, Curry’s etc), beauty and personal care and days out;

We are looking to recruit 3 Chefs de Partie to work in the 3 Acres kitchen. We offer training the 3 Acres way, so there will be opportunity to progress within our well-known and established restaurant. There will also be opportunity to work for our outside catering company Woodfired Oven Co in a live fire cooking environment in the outdoors, for private events and weddings.

Under the lead of Head Chef Tom Davies, we work with the best of ingredients, to exacting standards, producing finessed dishes that change seasonally.

Own transport is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent (part-time vacancies also available)

Schedule: This is currently 5 days, working towards 4 days when the team is of sufficient size. The shifts are all straight, however we are happy to be flexible on an individual basis (e.g. if splits are preferable) and overtime is possible. 

Experience: One year (preferred)

Commis Chefs

£19,000 - £21,000 p/a basic salary (based on experience, but no experience necessary) with an additional sum of £6,500-£7,500 p/a tronc tips;

Bar Staff

We are currently recruiting bar staff at the 3 Acres.

Experience would be advantageous, but may not be necessary for the right, hard-working candidate, as you will be trained the 3 Acres way.

Applicants must be of a positive and enthusiastic disposition and have excellent interpersonal skills. A common sense approach and forward-thinking nature is required, as is an ability to adapt in a fast-paced, busy environment. 

The 3 Acres opens 7 days a week, the role is for a 5 day working week. Good hourly rate plus tips. Employee benefits as listed at top of page.

Kitchen Porter

We are looking to recruit Kitchen Porters to work in the daytime, alongside our chefs in the busy 3 Acres kitchen. You'll help to keep everything running smoothly and main duties are:

  • Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen
  • Collecting & washing up pots
  • Cleaning crockery & cutlery
  • Ensuring food prep sites are clean and ready
  • Unloading equipment & food deliveries
  • Put away orders & stock rotate
  • Carry our tasks set by the General Manager


Job Types:
Full-time & Part-time vacancies available

Schedule: Daytime, 9am-5pm

Supplemental pay types: Tips

Experience: Not necessary as training will be given.
